Kia Rio

Kia and motorsport triumph may not be obvious partners in a sentence, but then ice-racing is no ordinary sport.

The Andros Trophy is the deranged, extremist brother of rallying, where competitors charge around a track covered in ice while trying to keep four-wheel-drive machines roughly travelling in the right direction.

This year, the Kia Rio was the victor for the third year running with Frenchman Yvan Muller at the wheel.

Muller beat off various challenges, including former Formula One world champ Alain Prost.

If you fancy a slice of ice, the final event of the season takes place on March 18 in the Stade de France, Paris.
