New Lexus LS460 launched
Lexus will bring its new LS460 flagship luxury saloon to the UK in September this year.
The LS460 replaces the LS430, with the new model making its debut at the Detroit show.
A new 4.6-litre V8 engine with 350bhp and 369lb ft of torque drives the LS through the world's first eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Performance is vivid for such a large car, with 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 155mph.
Lexus has not forgotten the LS is primarily a luxury car and the new model will include such goodies as a heated steering wheel and an electrically adjustable rear seats with massage function.
There's also a climate control system that senses body heat and alters the temperature accordingly.
No prices for the LS460 as yet, but expect it to come in around £60,000.
