Peugeot Partner

Peugeot's Partner van-cum-MPV is the latest model in the French firm's line-up to benefit from its 1.6-litre HDi turbodiesel engine.

The Partner Escapade uses the 1.6 HDi in 90bhp form, with 161lb ft of torque, to return 52.3mpg.

It may take 12.9 seconds to meander from rest to 62mph, but the Partner can carry up to 2,800 litres of cargo.

The Partner Escapade is on sale now, priced from £11,700.

The partner/berlingo is an example of what peugeot is good at. that is good simple dependable viechles. the whole reliability issues with the 307 is because its over complicated with tonnes of electrics that are all made to go wrong, this is like peugeots of the good old days its basic, comfortable and reliable, and with a diesel its economical and doesnt sound like a tractor in the way a vw diesel does. The 406 was the last truly dependable car peugeot has made my 2002 executive is hitting 350,000 miles and apart from the normal brakes, filters and belts its had no new parts fitted and its going like new.
