Plock it

Friedericke Plock-Girmann is the head of VW's Lifestyle and Performance group.

Friedericke Plock-Girmann is responsible for this, the Golf Collectors Edition.

Friedericke Plock-Girmann tells us the Collectors Edition is the most exclusive Golf in the 34 year history of, erm, Golfing.

It is, as you may have noticed, based on the MkVI, the new Golf that's set to formally launch in Paris next week.

They work quickly, those Lifestyle 'n' Performance boys.

The Collectors Edition won't be mentioned in any brochures, though - it's one of those nudge-nudge-wink-wink special editions for the select few.

The select few who want a very expensive, leathery Golf.

That looks like a normal Golf, in a nice blue colour.

It gets a new paintjob - 'Moonlight blue pearl effect', apparently - along with a swish-looking leather interior and some extra aluminium and 'decorative accents' on the dash.

We're not sure what a decorative accent is. Swedish, maybe?

The Collectors Edition will initially be launched in Germany - no word on whether it'll make it to the UK or, indeed, how much it'll cost.

Potential buyers should contact Mr Plock directly by messenger boy.
