We are one of those who bought a bmw X6. Copy of BMW X6 it even has the classic bmw shark fin on the roof which you do not see very many cars with them at all.

Has anyone else noticed the abbreviation of Sports Activity Coupe Lifestyle Utility Vehicle? I sure would like my car to be classified as SACLUV...

All 'crossovers' and suv-car-things are ugly, always have been. I dont see how they are profitable, lets make a proper SUV, not these half breed stupid things

I'm so bored with SUV, SAC, SACLUV etc. Why doesn't anyone try LPR - Lorry Pointless Roadster - size and weight of a lorry, pointless because it can sit only 1 person, doesn't have a roof! Then they make a hybrid, and sell it in the 'States, calling it TPR (truck.....)

I don't know but we're seeing alot of those X6's over here as well. Bloody awful fugly excuses for sack-loves I want to follow the owners home and egg their house but they would probably enjoy that :-)

Yeah since Honda is getting more american as we speek, they have to adopt american car companies strategy: make a car that looks like a european model and call it there own. poor play

Yeah , here in Serbia also too many of those `magnificently daft X6`... It is just a `fashion` car, as many of today`s car are. The one who will leave no trace through time. Instead, by next `season` it will just be replaced with something that is even more sillier. They will sell anything they made - even something that looks so plastic?!

I don't see the problem. This is how all cars we know today were shaped over the decades. One manufacturer found a formula people liked and the rest adopted, lost out or died. Renault invented the hatchback, but I don't see anybody up in arms that Ford and the rest ripped that idea off and nor do I think it ever happened that anyone has. This is a 'trend'. We might as well get used to it. Small cars are getting taller and more SUV like, large cars and SUV's are getting lower and more car like... eventually we'll all end up driving something in the middle. It might not be original, but its not copying. I still think it amusing that BMW call the X6 a S.A.C. The combination of those letters in that precise order create a word which has some significance in Ireland and its definition is not - Sports Activity Coupe. No, it is in fact a word used to describe precisely the sort of person you'd find at the wheel of one. I hope the Honda is fantastic, just to piss the SAC's right off.

I'm just realising that the mid size car of the future with SUV styling and car like manners has already been designed! And its called a CashCow.... or something. Then again, thats what they all are.

actually Romania has a lot's of BMW X6's. it's not surprising since we really do buy everything that is big and useless. Although they do have sort of public utility since in my city an X6 is usually blocking the bus-stop. No matter what useless looking thingy car manifacturers would invent: WE BUY IT ;)

Lots of people buy X6's because lots of people are stupid and know nothing about cars. And luxury brands of Japanese cars are actually American subsidiaries. Sure, some Japs find their way over the sea (Toyota Altezza = Lexus IS, Infiniti G37 = Nissan Skyline, etc.) but the SUVs tend to be American designed and built. So it is just the Americans bandwagoning yet again. No imagination...
