Looking for a twin-turbo M5-shaped BMW saloon but can't quite wait for the, erm, M5?
Well then you're in luck, ye of little patience. BMW's blinged up bedfellow Alpina has released a teaser sketch of its B5 which will be revealed at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.
No details have been released, apart from that drawing you see above, and that the Alpina B5 will come sporting a twin-turbo engine. Blown V8 with 550bhp?
What we are sure of however, is that it will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and that you, plucky TopGearer, will have the chance to breathe on it in the Supercar Paddock. It will almost definitely have an ‘Alpina' badge and will most definitely be called ‘B5'.
Which would you rather have - this, an M5 proper, or a blood-and-thunder E63 AMG?

Just love those special Alpina wheels. If I had that sort of money I would be tempted by the exclusivity and slightly crazier Alpina heritage.

It's, um, green. And blue. BMW's are never multicoloured. They are silver, for the accountants.
