Brazil: a potent international force in many fields. Football.
Large nuts. Waxing of the downstairs region. But not, as yet, supercars.
The snappily named Amoritz GT DR7 aims to change all that. Due to be
formally unveiled in October and expected to look at least slightly like
this swoopy teaser sketch, it's the brainchild of Brazilian designer
Fernando Morita.
If it reaches production - and that's a significant ‘if', we realise -
it could be the biggest thing to emerge from South America since, er,
Maradona discovered the KFC Chicken Bucket. The Amoritz will pack a
twin-turbo 8.4-litre V10, borrowed from the Dodge Viper and hoofing out
at least 600bhp.
Beyond that, details are predictably scarce. We believe the Amoritz will
get a similar three-seat configuration to the McLaren F1, with driver
front-and-centre, and should be capable of running on pure ethanol.
Brazilians like their ethanol.
Should Amoritz succeed in bringing the GT DR7 to the road, TopGear nobly
volunteers to undertake the arduous journey to Rio for a thorough test
drive. We fear it may take weeks, even months. But we shall selflessly
persist until we have reached a verdict.

A lot of times the production models are a far cry from the sketches first released. Even with supercars. So I'm not gonna hold my breath till I see an actual 3D image of the car.

It just looks like some lights on fire... moving. Sort of. That is not a car. It's a sketch. Quite large difference there.

Looks like they force fed an Audi R8 with Tabasco and Viagra. And then washed it down with a bit of Jeremy's beef smoothie. And then let it loose with a randy Lambo Reventon. This really ought to be made.

It looks good but then its not really a design. I mean look at it its a spitting image of the GT by citreon with a Mclaren seating arrangement with a hint of Lamborghini touches. I cant see this going any further than sketches
