The days of the Atom reshaping faces may be drawing to a close.
Ariel has just announced that it will supply its insanely fast skeleton car with a windscreen.
A windscreen? On an Atom? What next? A roof, doors and a horsebox?
In fairness, Ariel does point out that the windscreen is optional - 'for people who want to use the Atom without wearing a helmet'. It even features a washer system. We foresee logistical difficulties. And impromptu showering.
Ariel says that the screen will allow 'easy conversation' between driver and passenger on long journeys. Conversations, we assume, running along the lines of 'Please, please slow down. My eyes have popped out.'
Fear not, even if you do specify your Atom with a windscreen, you'll be able to remove it for the full face-warp treatment.
Who needs plastic surgery when you've got an Atom?
