Audi RS4 Cabriolet

If the Audi RS4 was just a little too impractical for you, the German firm has come up with the RS4 Avant.

The estate version of its stunning V8-engined soul stirrer arrives in UK showrooms in July and is likely to cost £1,000 more than the RS4's saloon's £49,980.

Using the same 414bhp, 4.2-litre V8 engine, the Avant estate sees off 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds.

The RS4 Cabriolet, which arrives at the same time as the Avant, shares the estate's four-wheel drive transmission and engine to record an identical 0-62mph time.

However, the Cabriolet comes with its own bespoke seats, because Audi believes soft-top buyers demand greater comfort.

Expect the Cabriolet to cost just under £56,000.
