BMW M3 racer news - White heat - 2008

We thought you might like a look at the racing BMW M3 out on the track. Because… well, just look at it. That is a most excellent racer.

We don’t know any more than we told you when we first found out about the racing M3 back in October – that it’s putting out 485bhp from a revised version of its 4.2-litre V8, and features a whole lot of lovely carbon fibre – but we figured that you wouldn’t mind that too much.

Check out those side exhausts, fat front splitter and massive rear wing. They’re all going to look good racing in the American Le Mans Series next year, huh?

Still no news on whether BMW has managed to get the M3 racer approved for the 24 hours of Le Mans next year, though. We’ll send this photo over to the organisers. That should do it.
