We tried to out-reverse BMW's reverse psychology by not writing about this mysterious beast. But we got confused.
So here it is - sort of. BMW's website - dontblogaboutthis.com - has released a new teaser video which shows Hot New Metal on the move.
See teaser pics of the mystery coupe
The latest in a rather mind-boggling series of teasers shows Thing references the hybrid supercar BMW premiered last year via its the headlights, as well as some leaves. Leaves are important.
Your curiosity will be sated on 4 November, when the "maiden journeys of the secret new car" will happen.
Until then, let's play the game Internet was invented for - illegitimate conjecture!
We'll get the ball rolling. "This BMW will be powered by a 6.0-litre twin-supercharged V12 petrol engine mated to four-electric motors and a tank of nitrous oxide and will melt your face."
Now you...

This car is powered by an all-elecric system so advanced that the sole energy source is the drivers gentle up and down pumping of a gear-lever-installed reciprocating electric generator. Its name? BMW Wrist Actuated Non-polluting Kinetic Drive.

This car gobbles up children, small animals and roadkill through its kindney grill of death; formally named BMWHybridDestruction Drive, a rare demonstration of irony and contradiction from the otherwise fastidious car maker

This car is powered by little kids and animals, feeding a 10 litre V24 (double V12) The kidney grilles are active so they open up to engulf your children (must not be older that 12 years), And an anti nature system that sucks oxygen and converts it into CO2 for the fun of it. No? well, how about a 6-litre V12 mated to the rear wheels and 2 electric motors mated to the front with at least 600 BHP being produced, sensible enough?
