V10 rifle
Seems it's a good day for wedging massive V10s into small vehicles.
OK, this isn't quite as loony as that Viper-engined motorbike, but it's gently unhinged nonetheless.
German tuner Manhart - and we are far too grown-up to make a joke about that name - has wedged a 5.0-litre, 550bhp BMW-sourced V10 into the BMW Z4.
So that's 550bhp in a roadster weighing just 1,450kg - a power-to-weight ratio of 379bhp per tonne, more than the Ferrari Scuderia.
Manhart says the mad Z4 will hit 62mph in 3.9 seconds and, thanks to a sneaky removal of the 155mph limiter, run close to 200mph.
If, however, you fancy a slightly more retro flavour to your V10-powered roadster, how about the Weismann MF5 set to debut in Frankfurt in a couple of weeks?

So they upped the power a bit from the lump going in the Weismann, nice. One wonders what the difference in price will be....?

Always wanted to do this engine swap into the 1 series. Z4 makes more sense though

Thats Wiesmann, check the spelling pls. Btw i incidentally had a ride in one today, and MF4 GT - that's not the one with the V10, but only with the feebly underpowered 4.8is V8 engine from bmw - close to 400 HP in something with 1500kg is frightening from the passengr seat........

if you want some thing good looking,wiesmann is your choice,but this one is faster than MF-5.

BMW own Mini, BMW have a monster V10. I know the Z4 isn't a BMW job but you can see where this is going... Though maybe the big twin turbo V8 out of the X5 and X6 M's as it's likely a little more compact and it'll make a better noise. Maybe the Mini Coupe Concept that they've just done??? Or you could stick said V8 in above Z4 and make a sort of smaller, slightly more german viper, after all it would have a truck engine...

put a bigger engine into it as they are german ring buggatti to get the engine from a veyron then it will go like hell by the way the mini coupe should have a tuned M3 engine into it

thats a good idea as long as the car can handle nicely. this improved version is unquestionably better than the nissan 270
