You know the green revolution is in full swing when the German über-tuners are getting in on the eco-act.

Brabus, the Mercedes tuning house behind the absurd SV 12 Biturbo S Roadster and the even-more-absurd Bullit, has announced a range of green tuning kits for Mercedes diesels.

The kits can be fitted to any of the brand's CDI models and will, according to Brabus, reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumptions. It should make Brabus the first tuner to meet the 2001 Euro V emissions regulations.

Fear not, though - Brabus adds that the diesel tuning kits will, erm, boost power and torque output, too. Old habits die hard and all that...
