Bugatti’s super touring car
Remember that Mercedes SLS ‘Black' we showed you the other week? It was a rendering by Dutch designer-chap Sytse Dijkstra that turned Merc's gullwinged supercar into a LM-style race car.
Well, we liked it. So much that we decided to step it up a notch. What, we wondered, is the most ridiculous fantasy racer we could imagine? A Bugatti Galibier. On 23s and ready for the grid at Le Mans.
Daft, isn't it? Note the open engine covers with Veyron powerplant nestled beneath and ridiculous rear spoiler.
Anyway, we thought we might do some more of these, so get signed up on our commenting thing below and give us your ideas. We'll pick the best five and get them illustrated.
But remember, don't take it too seriously. The more absurd the better, please...

Right then, the weirdes one would be a nice Dacia Sandero with the mother of all engines (i.e. the on in the mad Golf, VW made for the weird fans), and a nice big rear spoiler. How about it? P.S. How much plugging will the boys do in this series for the Sandero? :D

Not much these days in GT1/GT2 look as good as the BMW Mclaren F1 Fina. Perhaps the GTR GT1 2010

how about decking out Jeremy's Toybota Hilux in racing livelry? Complete with rather "specialist" TG sponsors? It could be competing in a half-land half-water race? Or, failing that, how about London Double-Decker?

Bendy bus either in Gulf or Yellow-on-British-racing-green livery. Okay, it's not terribly aerodynamic, but imagine the amount of engine you could stuff in there once all the interior has been removed.

I'm thinking Fiat Multipla destruction derby. Theres nothing more I like to see than one of those god awful eyesores getting side swiped by another one. Just add some lightning streaks down the side and a huge pointless spoiler on the back and your ready to go

@rustyMX5: there actually is such a car. Type "Smart car Diablo" and you'll find a stripped out smart fortwo with a mid-engined twin hayabusa engine, capable of doing endless drifts, burnouts and donuts all day long.

okay, so it has to be the smallest, worst car with the biggest, fastest engine. so im thinking a G-Wiz with a veyron engine....but what i would really like is an ariel atom with a veyron engine! but then it would be a bit heavy. maybe a super-light F1 engine in an atom, that really would go like something very dirty of a stick....espically if it was a 3L one from early this decade...900hp in an atom!

Ok, so its not a Le Mans racer, but there is a part of me that wants to see a Lamborghini Reventon Roadster set up to take on the Dakar Rally. Am I crazy?
