Remember a bloke called Harley Earl? No? Well, he's the guy responsible for the famous Cadillacs of the 50s - the ones with the tail fins.
He's probably dead now, but his legend lives on at Cadillac. Look at the rear lights on this CTS coupe concept - they kind of jut out like those fins. See?
Admittedly, it's a subtle touch. But the rest of the car looks brilliant - meaty and aggressive. We saw the car at Detroit, but here in London, a Cadillac-type person confirmed it'll be coming to the UK next year, along with the CTS saloon.
It will be a 'global car' too - so expect the steering wheel to be on our side.
Useful, for overtaking and stuff.
Cadillac will be keeping things simple with the spec. But we don't mind, because 'simple' means a choice of a 2.9-litre V6 diesel, or a 3.6-litre V6 petrol with 311bhp.
We expect a hot 'V' version to follow later. But then again, we expect a lot at Top Gear.
Inside, there's some Vegas style LED lighting, which surrounds the dash and lends a bit of American sparkle to things.
Let's just hope it sparkles on the road. But with the CTS-V saloon recently lapping the Nurburgring in under eight minutes, it probably will.
