An enormously brave gentleman has taken a modified Chevrolet Corvette and maxed it at the Texas mile, hitting a top speed of 231mph.
Undeterred by Underground Racing's high-speed smash at the mile last October, said man shrugged off the threat of a combustible demise and piloted the twin-turbo, 1,500hp Late Model Racecraft Chevy along the concrete.
A lot of power + rear-wheel-drive + slightly plasticky build quality = potential new method of limb removal. Luckily it all went spiffingly. Watch the video and then ask yourself, should you? Would you? Could you?
Once you've watched the vid, read how our dear Captain thrashed the Bugatti Veyron SS.

This thing must have so much torque, judging by how far apart the ratios are.

Low revs, slow gear change... This thing must have a lot of torque... nice, but not really exciting.

@sweetlizard 231mph in a mile isn't exciting? So, you could get in it no problem.
