Chevrolet's Beat

Some two million online voters have declared Chevrolet's Beat the best of three city car concepts.

The Beat triumphed by more than 100,000 votes, which, according to Chevy, means that it will 'significantly inspire' its next-gen city car - effectively the new Matiz - due to launch in 2010.

Luckily it was also GM chief Bob Lutz's top choice. "We're glad the Beat won - it was our favourite," said Lutz. "If it hadn't been so popular with the public we would have had to get all of our staff to vote to make sure it came out on top!"

Absolutely. No. Competition. Rigging. Jokes. Here.
