Chevy’s world Cruze

Say hello to Chevrolet's new Reasonably Priced Car. This is the Cruze, an all-new four-door model rather than a Daewoo-in-drag.

Fear not, the Lacetti isn't doomed. At least, not yet. Chevy says that it will carry on sales of the ’Cetti alongside the Cruze, despite the pair being similar in size.

So what does the new car offer? Well, aside from a slightly rubbish name, it boasts some pretty bold styling - by Chevy stands at least. That two-part grille, we're told, will carry over to other models in the Chevy range. Can't wait.

Otherwise, it's typical family car stuff - 1.6- and 1.8-litre petrols and a 2.0-litre common-rail diesel offering a wholesome 148bhp. It'll also be a global car, being flogged in every continent, apparently, though we can't see Antarctica being big buyers.

If you fancy a closer peek it'll be at the Paris show in October before hitting the roads next spring. Reasonably exciting times, eh?
