Citroen C3 Picasso

Not to be outdone by Renault's attempt to fill every microscopic niche in the MPV market - seriously, how long before they're actually going to take your vital measurements and fit you for a unique monobox of your very own? - Citroen has just announced the C3 Picasso.

As you might have guessed, it's the C3... but in Picasso form. So that's taller, blockier, bigger on the inside... and with an exterior treatment that's either quirkily cute or simply weird. We can't decide.

There's definitely a fair chunk of the C-Cactus concept we saw back in Frankfurt, though thankfully they've forsaken the evil nostrils.

The C3 Picasso features seating for five, with separately sliding rear seats which also fold away. The front passenger seat can be folded completely flat, too.

Like the C4 Picasso, it gets a giant glazed area thanks to a three-part windscreen and panoramic glass roof.

It'll come with the choice of two petrol and two diesel engines... though no word on a VTS version yet, strangely.

The C3 Picasso will be formally unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October, before arriving in the UK in the middle of next year.
