Revenge of the 2CV?
There's a new Citroen concept heading to Frankfurt next week and, well, it looks a bit like this.
Citroen has released a shadowy teaser shot, accompanied by precisely zero information, and we have lightened it through the miracle of mechanised computerisation. Therefore we can confidently conclude that, er, it slightly resembles a futurised 2CV.
Sorry. We really don't know anything else at this stage. Not even a name. The concept could point towards the styling of the new C2, which looks more audaciously curvaceous that anything we've seen from Citroen before.
There's plenty of Fiat 500 about that bubbly roofline, but that narrow-eyed front end looks much aggressive than Citroen's current bug-eyed range.
Rumours suggest the little concept will be packed with eco-friendly technology. Could we be looking at a hybrid? An all-electric city car? A hydrogen fuel cell vehicle? OK, we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves.
We'll find out all about the 2CV - sorry, the new Citroen concept - in Frankfurt next week. For now, what do you think of the looks?

I totally agree with the pixar idea, but I don't think it looks all that bad. Seems kinda girly though

Not the best of photos for a start being mega-pixellated as it is. Moving on, it does look like a futuristic 2CV - are we about to see another RFM (RetroFashionMobile) like the 500 and Mini? And unless they're only expecting hobbits to use the rear doors they look like suicide ones to me. Interesting.....

I was intrigued by the little bits I could see in the grainy photo but the artists impression makes it look like a PT Cruiser - which is never a good thing (even for the PT cruiser). Interested to see what Frankfurt brings with this one. Well, who wouldn't want to see the mighty return of the legendary Citroen 2CV, a car known the world over for it's robustness and supreme handling ability? ;-) . I'm pretty sure it's not the new C2 - that would be more like the C-Cactus Concept or something - a shape like that can only be a 2CV2. The Mk. II-CV. The- oh you get it... Where would it fit in the range, though? It looks sort of C3-sized, but then so does the DS3...

I think it's cool. But, since it's a citroen, it wont have a powerful version, just diesel. Therefore, I would have a Fiat 500. It's faster, it's beautiful and it's Italian.

When the new Bug was brought back, it was just crap. Now this... oh dear. Why not do something new and original? Plus it looks like a mini PT Cruiser, which is hideous.
