Toyota launches sporty Corolla

The Toyota Corolla range gains a new model with the arrival of the sporty-looking SR.

A set of 16in T Sport alloy wheels look the part, along with front and rear spoilers, and a rear privacy glass.

Things are less impressive on the performance front, however, because the SR uses the same 1.6 petrol or 2.0 D-4D turbodiesel engines found in other Corolla models.

The SR comes in five-door hatch form only and costs from £12,995.
