Tuner Late Model Racecraft is a bit handy with a set of spanners. And they're not afraid of making the Chevrolet Corvette indecently fast. So here's a video to start your week featuring sheer, raw speed.
Earlier this year, they took a 1,500bhp ‘Vette and maxed out the Texas mile at 231mph. Now it's released this footage of another LMR-tuned ZR1 doing some burnouts. This is followed by a frankly ludicrous quarter mile sprint time of 9.69 seconds.
In the pantheon of ruddy fast Corvettes, that's OMG quick. Yes, there are modified GT-Rs and Skylines that are possibly a shade quicker, but this is a Corvette. A ZR-1. The £106,605 standard car is, as we found out, guaranteed to plaster an obscenely large smile on your face. It's also one of Jeremy's absolute favourite cars in the history of ever.

I'd take a Vette over a GT-R any day. Big V8, RWD, manual box, consistantly gorgeous and good value.

Apart from the small bit you call the rear., rusty I have model cars that are sturdier. A Corvette is a great muscle car no doubt and I'd love to have one. Given the choice, I'd go with the times and get the GT-R though. I can use that to drive over curbs without breaking off any plastic pieces.
