Celebrity-voiced satnavs are nothing new - Homer Simpson and Burt Reynolds have already lent their vocal talents to mobile navigation devices - so it's no surprise to see the dark lord himself, Darth Vader, popping up on TomTom.
What's more of a surprise is that TomTom's promotional ad is - shock horror - Actually Quite Funny.
In satnav form, we fear Darth's dulcet tones might become rage-inducingly, murderously irritating within, ooh, eight or ten seconds.
But for now, we commend TomTom for giving the Supreme Commander a paid gig. Things have been tough since that whole son-ripping-mask-from-face-to-reveal-pasty-pockmarked-face-within-exploding-Death-Star episode.

L, O, and indeed, L. Even after thinking "Ok, I get it, the evil bad guy's being a light-hearted clot", it still managed to be funny for what it is. I shall make sure now to turn round at the end of the road and claim Darth Vader told me to. Or that I mistook it for a roundabound.

The Voice on mine is still the same standard one because i have a garmin which only has boycie from only fools and horses who laughs at the corners so i put it back to a normal voice. The GPS companies make updates an awful nuiscance and why dont they all show what lane to be in
