Video: greatest drift ever?
We can't decide what is more excellent about this most definitely excellent clip: the most excellent drifting skills of Kabawata-san... or the most excellent Japanese commentary.
You don't really need much more of an introduction than that, to be honest.
A smoking 590bhp Nissan 240SX going significantly backwards, ninja drifting skills and a bunch of screaming commentators - is this the greatest drift vid ever?

Bloody 'ell that was insane! I've never seen such a perfect drift ever. When it cuts to the interior view you can clearly see the drift's at a reflex angle (more than 180º). The commentators seem to have had a good time, even our touring car commentators don't get that excited!

xmgarcia, the tyres are partly what stopped that S14 from just plain spinning out. Drifting means you deliberately get the tail out and keep it out, and the tyres help with that. In fact, those look like slicks.

Oh i love japanese people... Can't understand a word of what they're saying but i still enjoy hearing them speak. Great drift too, one of the best i've ever seen, allthough it was just one corner and it didn't look too stressfull for the guy, still a great accomplishment though. :)

1 for Gigi Galli's drift. That was mad. Not only did he back it into the corner, but on a rough road in a car not specifically designed to drift and on a road that was pretty much the width of the car length. I miss watching 'proper' rallying.

Ive watched tonnes of drifting clips and thats the first time Ive seen anyone do that, it wouldnt do him much good in a drift battle with another car behind him though, the other guy would probably smash into him because of the deceleration and the judges would have no other option but to say the crash was his fault. Someone said it was 100 points in the commentary, that means it was a qualifying run. Also someone said here his tyres must be rubbish, well you should read up on drifting, to keep a car in control sideways at that sort of speed you need some damn good tyres.
