GP Limo

With the 2009 F1 grid looking a touch bare at the moment, surely this is the way to boost the numbers in the pit lane?

This is the aptly named GP Limo, the lightly unhinged creation of Canadian, er, entrepreneur Mike Pettipas.

You'll have spotted the shtick here: the GP Limo provides F1-style thrills for six lucky passengers. There's a handful of two-seater F1-type cars knocking around already - and Renault has even developed a tandem racer - but this is the first time we've seen anyone attempt a seven-seater. Brave.

Pettipas assures us that the GP Limo will be capable of speeds up to 250mph (which, strangely, is significantly faster than any of the F1 grid) and will even be road-legal. We can't even imagine how it handles, but suffice to say that - with that somewhat stretched wheelbase - it might struggle through the tight chicanes.

That said, with its big front wing, smooth bodywork and high rear wing, it doesn't look too dissimilar to a few of this season's official F1 contenders. Hmm. Something you're not telling us, Honda?
