Ferrari 458 prices revealed?
After you spent all of yesterday on the Ferrari 458 configurator, hammering out your paint options, choosing your seat stitching and rev counter dial colours, today you can add up how much it will all cost.
Thanks to a leaked document that's found its way on to a Ferrari fans forum, you can go through your configurator choices and work out how much money to spend on your perfect 458.

For a start you'll need £149,246 for the car, and then go from there.
Obviously you've got to have the Scuderia shields on the 458 front wings, so that's £898.
And painting your brake calipers is likely, at £779, and it's a given you'll want to tick the £1,924 nav option, because a TomTom would look daft in that cabin.
So that's already around £153k, and we haven't even talked about ticking the 20-inch wheels option.

I'd like to say you get what you pay for, but 898 for shields? Does it make the car faster? Are they made out of platinum?

One easy way of destroying beauty is to add aftermarket products; I was thinking, how about changing the exhaust pipes too look like three chromed stars. Imagine how tacky that would look.

its a nice car but if they add too many details they will ruin it, end up with something as ugly as an evo. despite that optional extras are a must on a car like this. if you can afford a car at this price the price for niggly extras is nothing it just makes it that bit better on the used car market than some low spec model

i think the f430 is a lot better than this and cheaper

You mean I can't afford to have it in Rosso Scuderia with red seats, red tachometer, red seatbelts, red brake calipers, red dashboard, red steering wheel, red carpet, red alcantara headlining, red boot carpet, red upper transmission tunnel and a red face every time I drive it? Damn!
