458 Italia: a smash hit?
It’s Tuesday morning and it’s time to polish your crystal balls. Don’t worry, this isn’t the Russell Grant homepage – you have indeed clicked on TopGear.com – so stick with us on this.
Our friends over at WreckedExotics.com are running a little competition, and to win it you’ll need to predict when the Ferrari 458 Italia will have its first smash.
Yes, we know the F430 replacement hasn’t even gone on sale yet or, in fact, been properly launched.
But when Luca Badoer has finished being rubbish in F1, he’ll be behind the wheel of the 458 taking care of some development miles, and on his current form he’ll probably bend one within three minutes.
Or at the end of a shakedown when he parks back in the garage and knocks over a bin. After getting fined for speeding. And being rubbish.
There’s a $500 prize for the person with the closest guess, even if it's pre-launch, so make your way over there now and have a punt.
Our guess, for no reason whatsoever, is 2.58pm on December 3, 2009.

I've said this before about the 458 Italia, I really really WANT to like it. For some reason It just doesn't seem to tickle me 'the right way'... It's just not quite good looking enough for a Ferrari. It just doesn't seem to make as much of an impact on me as much as something like an F40... sorry...
