Video: GT-R drowned in Holland

It's happened again. This time a sporty Nissan gets the bad kind of bath

Have we missed a memo or something? Is it drive-you-performance-car-into-some-water month?

First, we saw an Enzo tumble into the Atlantic. And now there's this - a Dutchman tanking his Nissan GT-R into a ditch.

The driver missed a corner on his way from this weekend's Assen car festival, Holland. He bounced off a bridge then skidded straight into this very conduit.

This is why you don't drive in clogs, people.

Now watch the video.

Well, you at TG sort of wrote that memo, didn't you? I'm thinking of a certain XJ-S with nitro and the 1st Stig at the helm. I can't remember the last time I saw one of my fellow countrymen in clogs. Only for the tourists. I think this car is right hand drive btw. Hint, hint

It has got a white license plate at the front and it's right hand drive, as Takk already mentioned, but in The Netherlands we've got yellow license plates, so the chance that someone was driving it in clogs is rather small.

White front license place, -actually it's even at least partially readable when they pull it out of the water, the reflection in the water isn't masked off- yellow tail license place, right hand drive car. Guess they came from a certain island and not from the mainland. In my opinion it's much less an issue of clogs, nor traction control set to "moron wants it off", but much more of not knowing the circuit, err road they were driving on. Additionally, driving like a madman will easily meat the measures by the Dutch authorities to slow them down for a long time.
