This is a short video of the Hennessey Performance Venom GT. Being avid Internet hounds, you'll no doubt be aware of its existence as a light, hardcore weapon of mass acceleration.
But, because we live in a cynical, news-managed age of forgery, you'll not accept at face value the sheer herculean lungs the 1,200bhp GT has under that Lotus Exige body. You want proof. You want video.
This short video showcases how quickly the Venom GT accelerates from 70mph to 215mph, and how puny and meaningless your life is without this car. There's a reason it's called ‘Venom'...

I can't wait to hear.... sure it will go in a straight line but being American it can't corner. To all you that clearly aren't up on your current events: have you ever heard of the Dodge Viper/Viper ACR? How about the ZR1 and it's equally impressive little brother the Z06? Funny how Top Gear hasn't posted any new news about their even FASTER times around the 'Ring. Saleen S7 anyone? How about your beloved M3 getting beat around Laguna Seca by a LIVE REAR END in the Mustang BOSS 302? Sure someone will moan that the Radical SR8 LM was faster around the ring... really a car you have to wear a helmet in and probably a NOMEX racing suit. Sure you can drive it to work.... what if it rains?

@RBlue I believe he was talking about the Venom GT by Hennessy Performance, Not the Lotus Elise. The car looks very similar to a Elise. But this bad boy is All American. You brits and europeans sure think you have all the cards when it comes to making cars that corner but your losing your touch. Americans are on the scene and as usual when we put our mind to something we dominate.

@RBlue I will say this first to snub out any doubts. Yes I know Lotus (obviously just look at it) had a large part in design/build of the chassis. BUT none of this would have happened without Hennessey Performance. If it is a Lotus then why didn't Lotus come up with it on their own and put their badge on it. Last time I check it had "Hennessey" across the back of it. To call it a Lotus Elise would be like saying the Zonda is a Mercedes just because it has a AMG engine. Or why not just call this a Corvette???? A modified LS9 is powering it! So here is how you sounded in your clever response: @RBlue: Since when is a Chevy Corvette "British"? ...yup that is a ridiculous statement.... Just like yours.
