OSM at the BSM

That's a Honda roadster concept at the Brit Motor Show, obviously

Honda OSM

It might not have the sheer, erm, bigness of Detroit or Geneva, but the British Motor Show is lining up to be pretty damn cool.

We'll get a first look at the Ford Focus RS, the new Fiesta and the Seat Ibiza SC... and now this, a sportscar study from Honda.

Named the OSM - which we thought was some kind of driving school, but apparently stands for Open Study Model - it's described as a low-emission, lightweight sports study model, designed to show off Honda's design cred.

Essentially a two-seater roadster in the mould of the Honda S2000, the OSM takes a bunch of design cues from the CR-Z - Honda's dead-cool coupe that has recently been confirmed for production.

Anyone else getting a hint of (new) VW Scirocco about the nose and rear flank, too?

Sadly, Honda says that there are no plans for the OSM to enter production, but as a hint of what a future Honda roadster might look like, and we're impressed.

We'll get a better look at the OSM at the British Motor Show at the end of July.
