Quick lime
Yowch. Lime green. Good on a Gallardo… but on a Jaguar XKR?
This is no aftermarket job. This is the XKR Goodwood Special, a one-off version of Jaguar’s usually gorgeous super-coupe, set to tackle the famous hillclimb this weekend.
Look beyond the garish paintjob – it’s tricky, we know – and there’s lots of good stuff here. The Jag engineers have thrown everything at the Goodwood Special, and it has returned with a lowered ride height, bigger exhaust and massive 21-inch anthracite wheels.
It might well have a bit more power than the standard XKR’s 503bhp, too, though Jaguar is staying coy about that one.
The Goodwood Special will run alongside Jag’s fastest-ever car– the 225mph XFR Prototype – on the Goodwood hill. The XFR hit the mighty 2-2-5 in the hands of Paul Gentilozzi at the Bonneville salt flats late last year, though we’re guessing it’ll struggle to reach quite the same speeds up Goodwood’s twisty hillclimb.
But, more importantly, lime green? Can anyone suggest a more inappropriate colour?

Should be British Racing Green really, or that Jaguar Racing Green that they had on the F1 cars a few years ago. Still a nice looking car though.

I don't think the XK is ugly, but I can't see why other people think it's gorgeous.

I think XK (XKR) is one of the most beautiful... Jags! not more! sims to me the oval grill is spoiling overall look. they could try to get something audi-like, maybe that could help.... that rounds never look sporty

Don't look past the green, look past the badge. If you don't call it a Jag, the colour is fine, together with the wider track at the rear and the big, big wheels. Call it something else, I don't know, anything. The Def Leopard?

A darker shade of green would suit this car more I think. Such as they did on the Jaguar F1 cars and the old Jaguar XKR. British Racing Green for sure.

FLUORESCENT BEIGE would be worse, but not by much. Over cast weather that makes that color look a bit dull when it is supposed to look energized. Recommentations: paint the A-pillar and the roof black, tint the windows, and strip the rest of the body of all color to show the aluminium - alterativly chrome the whole thing to reflect all light.

For a while, hip-hop people wore their clothes inside out to look "hip." Doesn't it look like Jaguar is wearing their clothes inside out to impress their friends? A bit childish, if you ask me. And I know you do.

I do like the color, but I would have to agree that British racing green would have been better. At least it's not silver, like every other car on the road. Or, as the first poster suggested, neon pink. Or that nasty tealish-turquoiseish colour Toyota has.

I don't like any of the paint job - not even the red R on the side - why give a Jaguar something very similar-looking to a VXR logo? But come on, they just did that to make it eye catching. Were they to produce a Goodwood SE they'd sell it in more than one colour; I'd say this, racing green (Jaguar's own), liquid silver and gloss black. That'll do nicely.

UGLY!!! Maybe not THAT ugly in general but as for Jaguar it's ugly!!! Look at the previous XK, it was beautiful but the current one looks like cheap chinese rip-off.
