The presenter of a small, obscure and unheard-of motoring show on BBC Two has been given the one-millionth Range Rover built in Britain.
Jeremy Clarkson, presenter of 'Top Gear', was sensationally presented with the car at Earls Court, where he is currently involved in some sort of dance troupe.
The car, an £85,000 Range Rover Vogue, will be sold at auction later this month to raise money for charity Help for Heroes.
Mr Clarkson said: "Help for Heroes is just the most incredible success story. They do everything from building a swimming pool to completely changing the way wounded soldiers are viewed in this country and I'm very proud to support them."
He added: "I feel like we've got a bit of history here."
The Range Rover was driven 118 miles from Solihull, West Midlands - where it was made - to London, followed by a convoy of heritage Range Rovers. On stage at Earls Court, the millionth Range Rover was joined by the 40th produced at the plant.
A well-placed unnamed source close to 'Top Gear' confirmed Range Rovers 'rule'. Below is why.

Very cunning. It was going to go on auction anyway, and would have fetched some money. But if it's previously owned by a celebrity and THEN goes on auction, Help for Heroes would get a lot more money, as celebrity-owned goods tend to fetch much higher prices. Clever. Very clever. :)

Is this the same facelifted Range Rover that Clarkson declared a Range Rooney, that was now only "for idiots to buy?"

I'm betting the 40th Rangie is the green classic in the background.
