Ford Ka news - A view to a Ka - 2008

Ahh, how cute. Look - it's the new Ford Ka. And it's gonna be a Bond car...

Well, it's actually a Bond girl car; a nice little runabout for Bond's little lady. It'll appear in the next 007 movie, Quantum of Solace, just after it gets officially unveiled at the Paris show in early October.

And its on-screen custodian will be a feisty leading lady called Camille - played by the attractively named Olga Kurylenko. So while her dashing hero rags it around in a DBS, she'll be punting about in the Ka. But that's OK, because she's a lady on 'her own personal mission', apparently.

A mission to Tesco, we presume. Maybe to pick up some dinner for her hero. Or some milk, for the Bond girls coffee morning.

Cynical product placement doesn't come much better than this. And Ford's stranglehold over the 007 empire continues. Remember Daniel Craig's Mondeo hire car in Casino Royale?

Only the power of corporate dollars could make a Ford into a Bond car. But can you think of any less likely candidates?
