Shocking pink
What is it with Mini and its Life Ball cars? Much as we applaud Mini’s selfless support of Europe’s biggest AIDS charity event, why do they have to be so hideous?
Last year we saw the S&M-tastic Agent Provocateur Mini, and this year it’s the turn of renowned (so we’re told) ‘creative double act’ The Blonds. They’ve created this eye-molesting monstrosity for Katy Perry (she of the girl-kissing fame) who, we’re told, will escort her Mini down the Blue Carpet at the Life Ball before performing her mildly lesbian hit single.
Yes, we understand that the Blond Mini is ‘making a statement’ and all that, but jeez, it truly is hideous, isn’t it? If you disagree, you’ll be happy to hear that the Mini will go into a prize draw after the ball, with tickets costing a mere 10 Euros and, naturally, all profits going to charity. They’re available here.
But would it be charitable to refuse your prize if you won? Let’s get some ethical debate started.

Now, I've seen pink cars before, even in the metal, so I don't exactly feel ill at them anymore (call it an immune system for taste). But this is some truly vile crap, almost harmful to the eyes!!

Actually that picture of it is photoshopped; there are no shut lines or panel gaps on the car at all. Perhaps allowing the first person you see in the audience who looks like/reminds you of Barbie to take it off your hands for free would be ethically sound. And it might get you some tail too.

It's brilliant - it's a perfect accessory for the fashionable woman of today (my gf loves it). But in all seriousness - who takes Mini owners seriously anyway?? I for one don't.

wth, this hurts my eyes to look at it, mini comon like this is just terrible, what were u on that possesed you to design this, a 1 year old could do better. Im scared for life and everytime i see a mini i will get a flash back of this ...this...what ever it is, i say we all buy a ticket and hope to win it then kill it to death on top gear. First of all BMW mini's have a lot to live up to I mean everyone had a classic mini (I think) secondly if Mini produce a car for as you said of girl kissing fame I would like mine a JCW in either BRG or Black with red stripes kitted out for racing because I am going to happy slap whoever made that monstrosity and happy slap a grey haired black eyebrowed chancellor of the excheaquer.....That really is a pile of B"llsh"t, All those in agreement make demands if they don't comply!
