A whole lotta Soul
Kia is determined to convince you that its new Soul is funky. Sorry, ‘funky'.
That's why you can spec it with giant dragon tattoos down the side. And strobing speaker surrounds. That's why they released that hilarious April Fool's picture of a Soul with, er, some kind of chin-thing. Funkiness.
And that's why Kia has put this cute little viral-ad-thingummy on the web, showing a whole bunch of Souls getting involved in some formation fun at an abandoned dockyard somewhere (Top Gear hopes it is in Dover. Because then they would be Dover Souls. Sorry. Truly, we are).
Yes, it's a bit wilfully Bonkerz - and proves, for one thing, that Souls really, really don't enjoy doing J-turns - but we like it nonetheless. Particularly the body-popping. You'll see.
Give it a shot. It's only 90 seconds of your life and, quite frankly, what else were you going to do? Real work? Tsk...

The body popping is cool alright! I wonder how many cars they damaged doing those stunts! Did you read the disclaimer bit at the very end saying that the cars used weren't sold to the public? Is that because they were other cars with a Soul body or because they had wrecked the clutches and tyres on them?
