Let's face it, the Lamborghini Gallardo isn't fast enough. Sure, it's got a V10. And 552bhp. But what it really needs is two whacking great turbochargers.
Seeing as the good folk at Lamborghini don't do turbochargers, it has been left to Florida-based Heffner Performance to increase the Gallardoâs frankly pathetic horsepower figure. When we say 'increase it', what we mean is 'pretty much double it'...
You're looking at a Gallardo with 930bhp. That's nigh-on Veyron territory.
Heffner's Gallardo has new cylinder liners, new pistons, crankshaft journals and a new clutch. The entire engine is blueprinted and there's a Lloyds building-worth of plumbing and tubing squeezed into the Lambo's engine bay.
Performance figures? Well, no one seems to have maxed one out yet but with the correct gearing we presume this is a 250mph car. Yikes.
Oh, and Heffner has also built a 1,000bhp Ford GT and a 1,900bhp Dodge Viper.
Hugh, you're ditched. We've just found our new favourite Heffner.
