When the Lamborghini Reventon was launched at the Frankfurt motor show in 2007, the world was a very different place. Everything was good, and there were pots of money just lying around under trees and things.
Not so now, which is why JamesList.com – like a well posh AutoTrader – has seven of them for sale.

So if you’re one of the few who’s discovered that you’ve still got a mattress stuffed full of cash, and were always ruing the day you’d missed out on a Reventon, then now’s your chance.

well when the reventon first came out i thought it looked really cool but i would rather have the nissan GTR soo worth the money :D

yeah like half you guys say you want the GTR more, and as a lambo fan, quite honestly i would rather have a GTR too. Reventon is way to expansive, and its just a murcielago with a fancy interior and body kit

Whoa! Who would sell a Reventon? Not that I'm complaining of course. I saw a Reventon being built when I went to the Lambo factory last May, maybe that one's on.

That highlights the problem with extremely expensive cars - there comes a point where it stops being a car and becomes an investment, and investments are usually there to be protected and not enjoyed. All of those Reventons are being offered by investment companies and you can bet that not one of them has seen the open road under a private owner. It's the same with guitars, where you're more likely to see a 58 tiger striped Les Paul behind glass than up in stage drenched in sweat and spotlights as it should be. When big money steps in, everything else goes out of the window.

That pic above is from birmingham lamborghini, thats number 18 out of 20, how cool that as that lives just up the road from me, it's my mates dads. he picked it up from there last year, was talking to him the other day and he says he isnt selling and hopes to drive it as much as possible when the weathers good. I'm trying to persuade him to take it on top gear as im sure they would love to rag it around the track. not bad 1.5 mill seeing as he paid 850.000.

Wow 7? That's a lot, but even if i did have the money for it, i would not get it. I prefer the Nissan GTR such better value for money, and you could actually use that every day, without having to leave the kids and your backpack and your.. pencil at home..

Sure, the gt-r is better value for money, and so is the ZR-1, and every car ever produced... but nothing looks nearly as spectacular as the reventon (well the 8c does, but that's pretty much it)

Half a million for a 2nd hand? You can't even get the groceries home in that thing... : P Not that I'd have to cook, being a Reventon-owner. Knobbly-ess obligay, even when you buy 2nd hand cars. I'll say it's a hybrid, the Joneses got one too. It's probably not a 'used' car, though.
