Peugeot Le Mans edition 207

Last weekend, Peugeot didn't win Le Mans. To celebrate this fact, the French manufacturer has released a limited edition 207 called the Le Mans series.

See, Peugeot initially announced the special edition 207 after it had locked out the first three positions in qualifying for the 24-hour race and looked odds-on for a crushing victory. Instead, the 908 lost at the last to Audi's R10, and Peugeot was stuck with a somewhat hubristic bunch of stripy 207s.

The Le Mans edition - which will be limited to a mere 2000 units - gets a special front bumper, a Peugeot stripe on the door and some aluminium bits on the inside. It'll come with the choice of one diesel engine and two petrols.

Rumours that McLaren are shortly to launch a So We Didn't Win The 2007 F1 Championship But We've Got Some Cars To Shift special edition SLR remain unconfirmed.
