Lexus LF-A is alive!
Thank goodness for childish behaviour. Got £330,000 Lexus LF-A underneath you, and a crowd of petrolheads begging for you to let it rip? You'd have to oblige.
Like the driver of this one, who couldn't resist a good stab at the throttle as he pulled away from a garage near the Nurburgring. Watch this vid and be patient - the black test-spec car goes first, but it's the white production car that gives it some death.
Pure race car noise, eh? That's what you get from a 550bhp V10. Kind of reminds us of a F1 car before they switched to V8s.
Now who wants one?

although i want to see if it is worth £330,000 for 550hp and reasonably bland styling. all previous cars at this price have had a trick up their sleeves, but i can't see anything

that is a very ugly looking car. its like someone without a chin and the top lip droops away over the top one, and then the designer of this tried to sort it out with misplaced lines, no its just too ugly for that money, an aston is far better looking. and the noise its ok but there are old alfa romeo 75s with the v6 and they sound far better when revving. and as im a big merc fan this is definatley not good value because merc are making far better sports cars at that money this is a lexus the price cant be that high for a car with a badge with less prestige than ford

I want one! It sounds like a Gallardo at low revs, but then gains it's own character when you floor it. It was a little raspy for a Lexus, though. Not finished yet I guess. I love the look too. I just love Japanese(-influenced) design for being different to the bent-square designs and predictable curves we usually get.

This thing sounds great but is it the best sounding sports car? Uhm, no. I think that the king of kings is and always will be, the mighty Porsche Carrera GT. The V10 in that car makes the noise that's unmatched by anything, not even Lambo's V10 or Ferrari's V8s and V12s can come close to it. No way Jose. Porsche's V10 has THE sound of all the internal combustion engines.

I saw the racing car at Goodwood festival of speed 2009 and it seems so different. Looks better as racing car though :)

Kanie, the Supra name is far more likely to be put on a 370Z-sized hybrid coupe based in the FT-HS Concept. Besides, if people are moaning about spending >£100k on a Lexus, can you imagine the reaction to this same car being sold as a Toyota?

i think its amazing i remember seeing the concept in the flesh but no way is it a 300 grand super car its going to selling I think between 60 thousand pounds to 100 thousand pounds in my opinion who would pay 300 grand for a lexus

Mikeado, i dont think they will do that to the hybrid. I can see toyota going to go after the GT-R at around 60K for the car. It wont be a 300k hypercar like is been said.
