Lexus 1-Series rival: more
We've seen a teaser, we've seen the rear end... and now here's the front of the Lexus LF-Ch.
The concept, which previews Lexus's upcoming rival to the BMW 1-Series, will be unveiled at the Frankfurt show next week.
We don't know much in the way of technical details, but Lexus has confirmed the LF-Ch - or whatever it will be called in production form - will be available in full hybrid flavour, capable of running on electric power alone.
We'll find out more next week, but for now - what do you think of the LF-Ch's looks? Remember it's a concept, and remember that the initial reaction to the 1-Series wasn't exactly universal in approval...

Front end is an attempt at Subaru, which wouldn't be bad except for the fact that it's been ruined. Profile is a copy of the Panamera, which, let's be honest, was a poor decision. And I just changed my two month old's diaper and found that exact color! What were they thinking...

those fenders below the front lights are a direct point to aston's one-77... for the product version; i'd say it'll rival the A3 more than the 1-series! it'll have proper side mirrors, less LED & shiny bits, & will drive like a charm (like every other lexus out there)... i just hope they bring out an "F" version to compete with the S3!

Color of shit... Well, who can blame 'em, considerin' even Bentley's now all bling bling... and I really wanna see how uglier it gets in the hands of Japanese/German tuners. The whole sharp features of the lamps don't really go with the fat poutin' lips. I'll stick with the Scirocco...

Well I don't like the design and I'd say on my opinion, it looks terrible than the 1-Series... Anyway a brand new 1-Series will be come out later with Active Hybrid... I'm also curious whether the car feels and drive like the BMW and is there a lot of room for the back seat and also the boot ???

I think it looks quite good, once you ignore the gold paint and those funny blue things. But what's Lexus', and indeed by extension Toyota's, obsession with hybrids? They're NOT a solution, yet people get really smug in them. Nice people don't have hybrids. Nor do hippies who actually know what they're talking about. Offer an F version with a V6 or turbo'd 4 plz.

ok it does not look nice compared to the 1 series and compare owning a bmw to a lexus. the lexus is luxury car money without the prestige of having a luxury car. besides why aim for the 1 series its pointless the golf and focus are far better choices and far better spending your money on a focus than this. another thing car companies instead of talking about making hybirds and giving us impressive figures like 80mpg make the things and people will soon find out for real what they do to the gallon.

It's not gonna win any beauty contests in that colour. What were they thinking? I'm gonna need to see it in silver and from another angle until I decide. Having said that, much uglier cars have been big sellers in the past. If Lexus offers a long list of optional extras and not give them as standard this time prices of this thing can be quite competitive, so who knows. And yes. It's prettier than the 1-Series even in this colour.

I think its the sort of car that you have to let grow on you. The front looks like someone biting their bottom lip. Would like to see what it will really look like in the end. Hopefully not a Toyota Auris, which if honest, it kind of looks like.

The most important question... is it rear wheel drive? If so, it might have a chance against the bimmer(like the is-f...which failed). And they have to do something about that color... UGHHHH THAT COLOR!
