New BMW M3 for China

This is the brand-new-but-not-really-new BMW M3 Matte Edition. The brand-new part, as you've guessed, is the suffix.

A special edition for the Chinese market, the Matte Edition follows on from last year's Tiger Edition (another paint-special), and comes in a choice of two paintjobs: gunmetal grey or black finished in, of course, matte.

The M3 also gets a carbon-fibre dash, red stitching on its black leather seats, lightweight 19in alloys, red brake calipers, and black air intakes and exhaust tips.

That's it. Power comes courtesy of the same high-revving 4.0-litre V8, while oversteer comes courtesy of your talent and the M3's righteous ability...

Whatever about the paint job I just hope it's reliable or it will get the sledgehammer treatment the Lambo got a few weeks ago.

well, it'll cost a few more yuans, in case, but there are fewest cars that are more elegant than a black BMW... except that horrible X1, X3 and X6 thing, of course.

Right. So they have taken a 3-series and are offering to paint it black or silvery grey. As it happens, a silvery grey or black 3-series is the most common BMW around, so this doesn't really make any sense. Any information about the price difference between this and a normal M3 in China?
