Maserati GC: prices and pics
Maserati has released UK prices for the GranCabrio - the four-seater soft-top favoured by every octogenarian female! - and, as you doubtless guessed, it is Not Especially Cheap.
Prices start at just over £95,000 for the gorgeous convertible, a hefty wedge of cash that gets you a 4.7-litre V8 pumping out 434bhp. It'll haul the GC to 62mph in just 5.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 175mph, which we'd imagine will be rather lively for your rear passengers.
Your 95 grand also secures you the longest-wheelbase convertible on the market - Maserati promises that the GC provides proper seating for four adults with eight legs.

Gorgeous, but I prefer the hardtop to be honest. Possibly my new favourite car... or the Quattroporte. ARH! spoilt for choice! But is it better looking than a DB9?

"proper seating for four adults with eight legs" - Interesting. I didn't know car companies targeted giant spiders. Anyway, it is of course a gorgeous car, I think it works really well in convertible form. Prettier than a DB9? Yes. I'm too used to the DB9, which has been around since 2003. This design is fresher and visually engaging, i.e. the more you look the more you see, and vice versa. It would work in Southern Italy/France as well as (even) flashier places like California or Florida.

i dont htink that a lot for this car to be honest. it is like the alfa 8c. the car was rubish so you were paying for the looks. with this the looks are there are and a bit of good performance as well so the price still being under 100 grand is a bargain for me.

I really want one. I don't think I've ever seen a convertible with more room in the back than that! Shame about the name though; GranCabrio? But I suppose it makes a point. Your gran could get in the back. :-D

This Maserati is gorgeous. One poster said he couldn't see a man driving it... I don't have a clue what you're on about. Best looking convertible in the world at the moment I boldly suggest. However... as a big performance junkie the 0-62 looks rather weak. If this thing could do sub 5 second 0-62 then I'd be quite satisfied. As is now, however, I'd rather spend that kind of money on a slightly used lime green lamborghini gallardo lp560-4 (like in Clarkson's duel). Gorgeous looks, drop top, practical (for a supercar), and high performance. If Maserati put more focus into developing a higher performance car I think they would be much more popular.

mvforza thank you. While is car is magnificent to behold, we are forgetting the 90s performance. I mean 0-62 in 5.4s? Even the pre-2010 Mustang with an auto box does it in 5.2, and that now costs 13g's! The AMV8 Volante, or Spyder or whatever is a better bet, even with the old 4.3 that TG kept saying was too slow it dd it in 4.9ish seconds. Plus its an Aston.

Yes the new Maserati Grancabrio is a 4 seat convertable Maserati that will cost £95,000 and produce 434BHP from the 4.7 V8 and go 175MPH whith a 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds and it looks absolutly stunning but what about the important things like will it come with a proper gear box instead of some stupid flappie paddle monstrosity..... Probably not.

When I picked up the magazine and saw this car in it, I thought it should have been on a top shelf far away from the eyes of children. Selling cars like this should be illegal -- printing pictures of them should be punishable by castration. It's just... OH EMM JEE! I'll stop criticising Top Gear if you use the license payers fees to get me one.
