Mercedes has shown us a bunch of pictures of its new S63 and S65 super-limos. OK, so they're not madly different to before, but we figured you can't really go wrong with a pair of shiny luxo-supercars with well over 1,000bhp between them.
1,137bhp, to be precise. The S63 is powered by a 6.2-litre V8 putting out 525bhp and 465lb ft of torque, good for a 0-60mph time of around four-and-a-half seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph.
If that's still a bit tardy for you, the S65 - armed with its 6.0-litre V12 - manages 612bhp and 738lb ft of torque, and will nail the 0-60mph sprint in nigh-on four seconds dead. Yowch.
Fuel consumption on both cars has been fractionally improved thanks to slippier aerodynamics, though you'll struggle to top 20mpg in either.
Exciting new tech includes something called Torque Vectoring Brake, where the inside rear wheel can be slowed independently of the outside rear wheel to prevent understeer, and a crosswind stabilisation function that keeps the S-Class tracking straight ahead when buffetted from the side.
There's also a new night vision infrared camera which can spot pedestrians in the road ahead before you do.
Visually, the most striking changes are a spangly new set of rear LED lights and a pointier grille, but the AMG S still does the understated, devastatingly quick thing better than just about anything else out there.
No word on UK pricing yet, but expect them to remain similar to the outgoing models: around £100,000 for the S63 and £150,000 for the S65. Yowch.

Nice to see the S-class leading advances in tech again. Do you reckon the pedestrian-spotter has a filter to ignore chavs? Or maybe a turret that shoots them out of your way? Yowch indeed - what a price tag. Instead of the S65, I'd prefer a 2nd hand Gallardo, a new GTR, and a family wagon for being serious.

I like the LEDs, although it seems to be that everyone's jumping on the LED-bandwagon, similar to what happened with the old Lexus IS200 clear rear light cluster. Chavs will have LEDs all over their corsas before long.
