New Ferrari revealed!
A few weeks back at the pre-season Barcelona F1 test, we snuck into the Ferrari motorhome for an exclusive glimpse at their new website.
We got caught, and the Maranello heavies threatened to do horrible things to us if we told you about it.
But now that the new Ferrari website has been officially launched, we can happily tell you that it's truly awesome: quite simply one of the finest things on the web. Apart from TopGear.com, obviously.
Our favourite bit? The Maranello Experience, which transports you virtually throughout Ferrari HQ, from walking through the famous front gates all the way up to Enzo Ferrari's farm house in the middle of the Fiorano circuit.
You also get to check out the entire Ferrari range of cars, pick one you like, and customise it to your ideal spec. OK, that's nothing new in itself... but then you can take your specced-up Ferrari out on the track to give it a good thrashing, with Mickey Schumacher on hand to give a few tips.
Of course, there's buckets of motorsport stuff on there, too. The F1 area is right at the top of the pile (well, not quite as good as Brawn's site, but it's getting there), with a neat section that shows all the secret bits that people don't ever get to see on a real-life visit unless they're a Special Friend of Mr Domenicali.
We're also keen on the virtual pit-wall telemetry that streams data live from F1 races, though we can't help wondering if they'll keep some of the more sensitive information on the quiet. Erm, not that the Scuderia has got a whole lot of interesting data to hide at the moment...

I'm not that impressed with the site to be honest... The cars are lovely, they could have made a much better job of it. It looks as though it was made five years ago.

I think its boring enough besides the information about the cars of course! nothing special though,and i dont see the point of setting it up

boring? how can you people say that ? ... it`s unbelievably good ( apart from this one, of course ) seriously cool site that, by the way, anybody knows if in the new Top Gear Mag edition, in that particular dvd with the Stig, did the guys include bits from the show that never made it on the telly ?

You, jerks saying that the site is boring, I recommend you watch the videos it contains. EPIC.

The videos where you have a virtual drive of the ferrari is good.... though I wish they'd dump some proper games and interactive races on there though.

I think that they could of done a better job off the web site theres to much pictures and not enough information in order to get better than this website they will have to improve there designs a lot better and make it more informational, on the other hand tho the cars are very nice indeed.

The Schumacer lap left a little to be desired, it wasn't really like riding shotgun when they went to artsy exterior shots. Otherwise it's not all that bad. But only being able to spec colours and wheels on the cars was a bit crap. It's not like Porsche's "Build Your Porsche" Configurator.

nice to see ferrari's more economical move over the web site.i think ferrari wants THE NOT SO RICH people to buy one of their cars .which is almost impossible.normaly people get tired of seeing super car web sites beoz it is boring ,but now things have changed alot.
