2011 Nissan GT-R 0-62mph time revealed

A Japanese magazine has tested the new 2011 Nissan GT-R from 0-62mph. And the time is…

The stuff you know: next year's Nissan GT-R will pack 530bhp (up from 476bhp), 451lb ft of torque, new suspension, more downforce and lighter alloys.

The stuff you don't know: 0-62mph, 0-100mph, top speed...

Basically, all the stuff you blather on about to your mates after consuming one-too-many Stellas. A Japanese magazine, totally unaware of your beer habit but aware of your necessity to spout out benchmark acceleration times has tested the GT-R from 0-62mph.

And Godzilla did it in... three seconds. THREE. Half a second faster than the outgoing GT-R, and crucially, 0.3 seconds quicker than a Porsche Turbo S.

Wow.

Click the video below, which handily explains that had the track surface been warmer, the time would have been faster. Expect a new Porsche 911 Turbo variant very soon...
