Pixo perfect?

It's a bit like the Suzuki Alto. Actually, it's exactly like the Suzuki Alto...

Nissan Pixo

Get us and our automotive sleuthing. We think we may have found the only set of steel wheels and hubcaps in the entire show.

They belong to the Pixo, Nissan's new A-segment car that's closely related to the Suzuki Alto. That's closely related as in 'basically the same as'.

So that means the same 1.0-litre three-pot petrol engine, with the choice of a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, and the same promise of 60-plus mpg consumption.

Sadly, it also means the same total lack of pace... but look on the plus side - at least the Alto will be lurking at the back of the pack alongside you.

Torn between the Alto and the Pixo? Ultimately it's an arbitrary decision, but we'd go for the one with steel wheels. If you're going to go cheap, you've got to go really cheap...
