So this, then, is the Porsche Cayman S Sport, and it sounds rather tasty.
The 3.4-litre flat-six has been tuned up from 295bhp to 303bhp, and the car has been dropped by 10mm on its springs.
We're expecting 911 Carrera-troubling performance, but then again it will cost just shy of £50,000 - almost six grand more than the Cayman S.
Porsche is set to formally unveil the Cayman S Sport on August 4, three days before Top Gear mag goes on sale.
