P4/5 Competizione

Fact: James Glickenhaus used to be a film producer and director, owns a 166 Spyder Corsa, a road-legal Lola T70, a 1967 Ford Mark IV and this: a multi-million pound racing experiment called the P4/5 Competizione.

Fact: the Competizione looks and sounds astonishing.

You'll no doubt know about Jim's P4/5 Competizione. It is a racing version of the sensational one-off Jason Castriota-designed P4/5, is based on a Ferrari F430 Scuderia ("we know that works", says Jim), and uses the 430's GT2 engine and transmission. This is so Jim can use it to drive around New York once he's done racing...

And on the subject of racing, here is the Comp's first track outing at none other than the Nurburgring. Enjoy.

Definitely a beastly car. And looks like a big standout in that crowd of racers.

Makes me wish Ferrari and Porsche would get back into prototype endurance racing.

I want to report this comment for:

Chassiswise the car looks thoroughly good. But it lacks power to be a frontrunner in VLN or the 24h-Race. To bad, would like to see them fight for the win.
