Revenge of the Carrera GT?

Straight off the bat, this isn't an official Porsche concept. Sorry.
It's a hypothetical Porsche supercar from Iranian designer Emil Baddal, and we reckon the guys in Zuffenhausen could do worse than take a bit of inspiration from our Persian friend.
They're hardly on a hot design streak at the moment, are they? The 911 is fine, but they pretty much got that one nailed back in the mid-60s, while the Cayenne remains a visual abomination and the Panamera hasn't exactly wowed aesthetes since its introduction earlier this year.
OK, those side scoops might be a bit much - according to Top Gear's scientific calculations, you could lose an entire child down there - but we're loving the high-haunched side profile and the mad diffuser-filled rear end. Kinda Veyron... but more so.
The reality of a Porsche hypercar might not be so far away. Back in May, we reported rumours that Porsche might be creating a road-going version of its Le Mans winning RS Spyder, effectively the successor to the Carrera GT.
There has still been no official word from Porsche on the rumours, but we're keeping our fingers crossed. And if you fancy making it look just a little bit like this, gents, we'll be plenty happy...

It looks a bit too mad to fit Porsche's design ethic. They like understated design cues. Even the Carrera GT - it was a desperately gorgeous car, but also quite simple in its body design. I'd give my right leg for Porsche to use this design though.

I quite like it. Some nice curves to it certainly. The side scoops are scary though, and yeah it is perhaps a little chubby looking, but then i always thought that about the 10.000 different 911´s

maybe you can make a little link to the photo gallery. Mainly because the photos are already on the site. Cool car anyway. Maybe the color....it's more correct for a pair of shoes, but this is a personal thing. Really cool

Far better than anything Porsche have come up with themselves in my living memory. Time to hand the design to the design enthusiasts.

The front looks a bit like a Porsche modified by TechArt, but beyond the A-Pillars it's not very Porsch-ish. Yes, some would say that's a good thing, and yes, it looks good -straight out of an arcade game methinks - but the tail-lights are a bit BMW. Overall though, a nice design. Could do with being longer though to look less porky.

Its a different flowing organic design. I looks like a kit-car. for me there is no Porsche DNA, as far I can see it. Porsche design is maxed to the min, straight clear lines, some are really beautiful some are not that appealing. The original GT is a stunning car. This one is creative, new, with fresh ideas, which I love, including quotes from several car manufactures, which is I guess unavoidable. good job.

Do you think the rear wheel are big enough? Soon, car wheels will be so big that they'll only complete a single revolution every mile. That means they'll last for ages, but will be really expensive to buy.

Anything other than than the crap they make at the moment. Everything is in the 911 mould and so either looks dull or insane. Porsche are the anti-TVR, churning out endless class leading cars that must be challenging to style so badly (and i'll always love TVR more).

Ok so blue/red isn't that good but if it was matte black instead of the blue (keep the red accents) this would be AMASINGLY cool. I'm thinking Batmobil.

I quite like it. Would love to see it in silver or black. This color scheme reminds me of Cobra (a la G.I. Joe) from the 80's. What Cobra Commander may drive on the weekends?

I'm not a fan of Porshce... but THIS... this is perhaps one of the most beautiful concepts for a vehicle I've ever seen. I think even Mr. Clarkson could agree on this one, it's pretty, and would make an excellent change to the repetition that has been Porsche over the years. Brilliant!

Amazing how the headlights make it look like a true Porsche. Just that, some headlights. And hey presto, you've got the family resemblance nailed. Otherwise, it's not a Porsche at all. Nowhere near. Then again, nor is a Cayenne or Panamera. Kind of depressing, that. I'm still a 944/928 fan, just because they showed a Porsche could be a Porsche without imitating a 911. Porsche lost that trick over time.

Too fat. Creates too much drag as are result. Make a low profile high reving flat-8 supercar, Porsche. Stop with the obese creations.
