At Top Gear, we like to bring you lots of inside information. So today, ladies and gentleman, here's some inside news on the Porsche Panamera. Literally.
Porsche has just released pictures of the car's cabin, which was previously unseen, so we thought we'd share them. Proper inside info, see.

First impressions are that things look a bit busy in there. Looks like Porsche
has given almost everything a button. Want to turn up the radio? Press a
button. Adjust the dampers? Press a button. Warm up your bum? Yep, press a
button. Seems the engineers have shunned an iDrive-style interface to tidy
things up, which is bad news for people with chubby fingers.
There's better news for tall people, though, because it looks roomy in the
back. The centre console swoops all the way through the car, forming an armrest
for all passengers. It also houses controls for the lanky ones in the back.
But our favourite touch has to be the ‘make my exhausts louder please' button.
It's the little one positioned to the right of the gearlever that looks like a
pair of binoculars. Remember it, press it, make your Porsche saloon as loud as
possible, and to hell with the neighbours.
If they get angry, just offer them a lift - no one would turn down a ride in a
V8-powered Porsche limo, would they?

Critics: Interior could have a little more of that matte blue, because it's a bit boring with so much only-beige in a car. Rear side of front seats looks cheap! Like at plastic office chairs! Fix that! How did monitors appear on front seats? They were in boot? In gloves' boxes? How you attach them? Porsche, keep up good work (in progress). So we can see something worth buying once it's finished.

Not the most attractive car in the world on the outside, but I bet you couldn't care less once you get inside it! And with a driving ability that's supposedly typical of Porsche (i.e. incredible) I can already tell that this car will be very easy to fall in love with. But of course, those who hate Porsches will hate this car regardless. Clarkson will mock it forever. Even getting him to admit that the Turbo is a good car seems hard enough, and i'd sooner have one over a Ferrari anyday.

Obelix, what monitors are you talking about? anyways i like the console layout, there is a bit too much beige leater for my taste, but i don't care, i'd take a masser or a aston R over this any day... XD

There are to many edges and odbits (leaving the ghastly leather out of it). It is clear that Porche is unaccustomed with rear seats, something is wrong with the angle of the seat. The first image looks very good when you get the air-vents on some distance, and oversee the pockets in the seatbacks. It is my personal meaning that the steering-wheel could benefit from a straight through the top unispoke. Is it stealing from the swedes to say that the controls should be banked towards the driver? The consol-area should be much rounder, maybe lowering the dash at the middle? This would make way for a calmer venting. As a future designer (yes what a good thing to study:D) I am a bit scared of the blue and orange/yellow- combo. They should know more about colour than that. One last thing: Leave stones out of cars! Wood is bad, but do not try to make fake wood panels in your doors -ever!
